After working more than a decade in corporate public relations in the Washington, D.C. area, Lisa Brusio Coster started consulting under her own name in 1997. She currently works with a variety of clients developing public relations plans; writing and editing many types of documents, including feature articles, grant proposals and promotional materials; conducting media relations; and, coordinating and managing events.

Prior to consulting, she was a vice president for a public relations services company that specialized in radio communications. In the early years of her career, she worked as a media coordinator for a mid-sized PR firm and as the director of operations for a video news release company. But she got her start in Baltimore, where she was raised, as a promotions assistant, news writer and disc jockey on several radio stations.

Lisa conducted her graduate work in public communication at American University and her undergraduate studies in broadcast journalism at the University of Maryland. She sits on various committees in Washington Women in Public Relations, and is an accredited member of both the Public Relations Society of America Maryland and National Capital Chapters, the Capital PR Network, and the Columbia Business Exchange. She also does pro bono public relations work for her church and the Howard County Domestic Violence Center.
